The Pond

This is a view of the pond that I ride my bike by some days when I have my dog with me. He is a Weimaraner who loves to run so in order for me to keep up with him I have to take him when I go on the bike rides. I could ride for miles and he never gets tired. He watches me get my bike out now and goes nuts till I put the leash on him and he's ready to go. Bike ridding has done wonders for not only my physical health but my mental health as well. On nights that I go for a bike ride the next day I feel so good. I think so much clearer. I couldnt be happier with my decision to buy a bike. I'm also very happy that it is a beach cruiser. The bike is sweet. It feels good just to be ridding it. I can just peddle and relax and take in the scenery. If you havent bought a bike and are looking for one or thinking about it. Go get the bike, you wont be sorry.

Ride a bike to work

Starting a new trend...I'm 29 years old and I'm tired of paying high gas prices in order to just run to the store. Last week I went out and bought a brand new bike. I wanted something comfortable. I wanted something reliable. So i decided on a beach cruise. I also wanted a bike that was made in the USA. Since most of our money for oil goes to foreign countries, I thought I would pick a bike that was made in the USA and would also help reduce my dependency on using my truck to go on short trips to the store or over to friends homes. I went to several bike stores here where I live in modesto california. The bike that impressed me the most was at a bike store called The Bike Shop. The company that makes the bike is NIRVE, they are out of fountain valley california. Perfect. So i purchased the bike. Its a 3 speed beach cruiser and I love it. So far I have put about 15 miles on the bike. Its a super comfortable ride and I couldnt be happier. lets see 15miles in my truck thats a gallon of gas. which is about 3.29 where i live. If I can save five dollars a week in a year thats $260. Not bad at all...plus I get some decent exercise that I wouldnt be getting if I hoped in my truck everytime i needed to just run an errand. Since purchasing my bike my sister, and brother in law have also purchased bikes similar to what i bought. Two other friends have as well. Without thinking about it its helped create a little bond between us all as we all go out and ride bikes in the evening as well. Who knows maybe you will see hundreds of us cruisin through town kinda like a motorcycle cruise but on beach cruisers.
